In the 1990's in St. Louis, Missouri, young Amala has a safe and comfortable life she's made for herself as a 21 year old ornithologist, zoo-worker, and part time writer. She is black, Muslim, and is adopted. But when finding some surprising information about her past life and an opportunity across the world, she is stuck with two choices. Does she either take the opportunity or a lifetime, or encounter herself with something that will change her life forever?

"Ostriches On The Moon" is an excellent story about wildlife conservation, doing what you love, overcoming hardships, and getting through the worst of it all.
