Based on the series Castle on ABC, this story is taking place as a season 8 or 9 (after Beckett and Castle get married). Age 14+ (There is some sex scenes and sexual language) Also parts of the story may be a little graphic and bloody. If you don't like the first few chapters, I would urge you to keep going because it gets better. Discloser: I do not own the show Castle. Everything here is strictly a product of my imagination.

Kate Beckett has been a fan of criminovelist Richard Castle ever since the first book, but when she starts researching about becoming a foster mother she gets shocked to see his daughter, Alexis Harper Castle, is one of the kids who needs a foster home, fast. Kate immediately jumps in and goes through all the tests needed to be accepted as a foster mother for the girl. As time goes Kate can't help but fall in love with the girl and wants to treat her like her own. One night she gets in contact with the man she shouldn't have contact with, and before she knows it she's agreed to meet him. She doesn't tell anyone because if the word would get out someone might take the girl away from her. Her detective instincts kicks in and she can't help but question why Alexis was taken from her dad. That's when she can't shake the feeling that mr Castle is falsely accused for whatever it might be and decides to try and find out more. Not knowing it would lead back to her own past. -A Castle Fan-fiction (written before the season 6 opening episode, after season 5 finally) My life was good. It wasn't perfect. Hell, it started out pretty miserable. But now my life was perfect. It was until my mother was killed anyway. Now I'm stuck here with a writer and a cop trying to track down the maniacs that are trying to kill me. And considering nothing is what it seems around here and I apparently didn't even know my own name, everything is getting too complicated. Now I can't tell for sure if I'm going to survive this. I don't know if Beckett or Castle will survive this. What am I going to do? What am I supposed to do? I'm a fifteen year old orphan with no family to take me in and no one to explain why my mother was murdered or why we were on the run my whole life. Ugh. And took it hard, she followed her dad's footsteps and started drinking. And lost her son because of being an alcoholic. Kate gives up on life until one day when it's been 4 months since they took her son when her friend Lanie suggest that she should go and talk to someone and she goes to an AA meeting and gets a big interest in the leader, Richard Castle.
