Hey, folks, first time poster. Below is a short story of mine. It's a little bit of a love letter to the slasher genre and video game I play. It's been a very long time since I've written a single word (25) years and it took an old friend to re-spark the dream. Anyway, this was practice for me to.....I guess find a voice, get some words down, see where it went. I mean, it's garbage, but that's okay. I think it went well for what it is. IDK, you tell me. Except for a crazy old man you saw on the streets warning everyone about the island, But you were always a curious person, and you needed that money so you can afford living in your home.. So you decide to solve the mystery yourself, but what you find was unexpected.. and disturbing... You are not the same as what you once were. I may do a rewrite for this story, because I'm embarrassed by how it turned out.

My grin grows wider as I pace in front of her, twirling the weapon in my fingers. After a moment, I stop. "My name is Theresa Moore." At the sound of my name, Laura's eyes grow wider. "Please", she begs frantically. "Please, I'm a mother. I have a five year old. She needs me." I sigh. "I'm not going to kill you. Good God, why does everyone assume I'm a killer?" I wanted to try my hand at some creative writing, and I thought Minecraft fanfiction would be a good foyer into online writing spaces. I am not an avid reader of Wattpad stories or fanfiction in general, so I have no expectation for the material I am producing to be aligned with the reading interests of anyone on this platform, however: I am excited to be able to anonymously share a niche of mine that I haven't had the chance to develop until now, regardless of its reception. Nvm this shit is corny as hell, and I wish that I was writing it as a joke but some horrible, gross part of me has an addiction to the process.
