Aleia Duhme

A thousand-year age of ice is coming to an end as the people of Stratis wage war for the surface of their world. Aleia Duhme, one of the last Gelden, the frost ridden dwellers who chose to remain on the surface, is taken captive by Arvid Dane, a swordsman determined to warn the King of the Geldens that the light has returned and with it, a war that will shake the planet to its core. In this tale of light and dark, Aleia catalogs her experiences in a diary, so that the history of this great conflict may not be compiled by the victors but by a woman who was taken from her home in chains, who fought along the Iendride river and journeyed through the seven layers of Stratis to stop the evil in the Capital Ratheon could not.
