When I Couldn't Talk: A True Story

When I was in middle school, I couldn't talk. I could talk at home, but not in school.

When I was in high school, I could barely talk. I could talk at home, but I couldn't talk in school unless someone else talked to me first.

I didn't know I had an anxiety disorder called Selective Mutism. So, this is my experience.
