Donald Na had an older twin brother, Ashur Na, who always protected him. After escaping from their abusive parents at six years old, Ashur lost his memories. Donald decided to not tell him about their horrible childhood to save him the pain of reliving those painful memories. Taken in by the Kwan Family, Donald vowed to protect  his brother just like how Ashur had protected him.

Ashur was not as smart as Donald. Despite studying hard and not wanting to be in Donald's shadow, he still got compared to him. Ultimately, he flunked a grade, got kicked out of Yeo-Il, and had to repeat freshman year. Donald decided to enroll him in a less educationally rigorous school: Eunjang High School.
