Coldkit is the misbehaviour in her clan. Whatever she does, she seems to do wrong and no one will believe her. She can feel her mistakes bring her further and further away from her apprenticeship, where she has promised herself she will try to do better.
But the little white she-cat doesn't know exactly how this magic will happen, and slowly her quick-witted confidence begins to wilt. Every step she makes, brings her back two steps.
It's just a matter of time until she reaches the beginning again.
