Yu Ziyuan grunted loudly in pain as she gave birth to her second child. The pregnancy had been long and painful, but now her baby was finally here. She waited for the cries of her baby as she gave the last push. However, even after the baby was born, it did not cry.
"What's wrong?" she asked the nursemaids, who were scurrying around her.
"Madam Yu, congratulations. You have given birth to a baby boy. Unfortunately, the baby is both blind and deaf."
She could not believe her ears.
"Then get rid of him. He'll be a burden to this family if we keep him. It would be a waste of supplies and money to tend to him," Jiang Fengmian said from the doorway. He had heard everything.
Yu Ziyuan ultimately agreed. She took her son from the head healer and held him loosely for a moment, watching him with disappointed eyes, before handing him over to the nursemaid ordered to kill him. Said nursemaid doesn't actually kill him.
What happens when, 15 years later, a strange boy accompanied by a small girl, ends up saving a certain group from the waterborne abyss in Caiyi town and is taken back to Cloud Recesses afterwards?
