A Revised Definition follows LEA VAS who is spending her summer with her long-distance best friend, RITA KHOURI and her Egyptian family. Lea has always been what she describes as "The Thumb"─the random, third-wheeling, different person in her group of friends. While she cannot wait to spend her summer at her best friend's lake house, paddle boarding and working at their family's pharmacy alongside her crush, SALVATORE DOMINGUEZ, she dreads the moment Rita realizes that she is boring and bland. When CHARLIE HANNA, the geeky-yet-flirtatious boy next door, suggests that they form, with a few friends, a club comparing books to their on-screen adaption, Lea cannot help but wonder if perhaps this will be her time to shine, to finally have a say and be who she has always hoped she'd be...

WATTYS 2023 & 2022 SHORTLIST | Stella Donahue is in dire need of a fresh start. A break. Away from the college town that's shunned her, away from the place she once called home. Her salvation comes in the shape of an old family friend's lake house and the promise of a summer all to herself. Not to forgive. Probably not to forget - no matter how hard she tries. But to continue to heal. The surprise comes in the shape of Jacob Wilson. Suddenly, with her somewhat estranged childhood friend living down the hall, Stella's summer of solitude becomes anything but. Though, maybe, reconnecting with Jake is exactly what she needs.
