There were legends of the beasts that surrounded the city. They were fearsome creatures that resembled large wolves, and the citizens saw them as guardians. That was until the creatures began transforming into humans and having offspring with the village women. To cure this plague of beasts, the people hunted down the animals and killed them off one by one until there were none.
