The alien energy weapon killing him is one of the worst visions she finds. Seeing the carnage caused by the aliens in a few weeks is devastating via his vision. She can not imagine standing next to him as it actually happens. His visions point to her, preventing the invasion by magic. But he has centuries of magical experience, so what makes it possible for her and not him? She must quickly discover that uniqueness and use it to create a friendship with the aliens before the world as we know it ends. Caution: there are many sex scenes limited to a sentence or thereabout, suggesting you use your imagination to fill in the details. There are seven main protagonists each one with their own chapter - which can be read in whichever order you prefer, - two of them in present tense and the rest in past, it's all part of the story. They all have mixed backgrounds such as a Japanese father and a Taiwanese mother, a survivor of the Rwanda massacre, a Colombian with Lebanese and Portuguese ancestry, a Danish whose mother is German, a Jewish lady married to a Muslim man she met in Jerusalem, an Anglo-Indian guy inspired in a way in Orwell - character name is Arthur such as Orwell's real name, - and last but definitely not least a Turkish Muslim bisexual woman for which a Lebanese friend for work is providing help; my friend is working on her Ph.D. on gender inequality in politics, especially in countries with religious civil wars that have moved from the streets to parliament. The story's Universe - 7 trillion light-years, approximately 78 times the size of our observable universe and 252 times the size of a Hubble sphere - provides more than enough civilizations to present dystopias that can serve as warnings for the future - ideally in the style of 1984, A Brave New World, or Fahrenheit 451, - as well as utopias where we find A.E.I - Artificial Emotional Intelligence - along with futuristic ways of understanding childhood, education, and life itself.

This is an unusual story to tell and I will tell it. This is not an average space saga, it is not anything you've ever heard before either nor is it a story that you'e read before or anything that would sound familiar. So let me begin right at the beginning. In the beginning of the universe there was nothing. Moments after the big bang, dark matter and dark energy came to be. Stars, gases and planets and so on. Now to set the stage. Dark Matter and Dark Energy are really just forces of the universe. Dark energy pushing galaxies into the universe expanding and dark matter keeping all the galaxies tied up together. But in the story things will turn out differently. Let me not spoil the story, maybe it's not such a good idea to start at the beginning, but let's start at a place where we are all familiar with. A place called home. Located in the Milky Way galaxy we have a tiny little solar system and in this solar system we have a planet called earth. As far as you and I know we are the only intellectual, intelligent and sentient beings in this universe. So we will begin at 'a' beginning where it all started with someone else's life; John Cohan. This individual has no idea what he will be walking into, a new life new beginnings and an end to and an old life.

Gates, portals, rips in space and time, whatever you wanna call them. Though the naked eye can't physically see the gate, we can see it through a scientific instrument, which does not have a name yet; it's very new. The VOID. The Gates to another dimension, or to another planet, that information is still unknown. To the outside world we are the Missing Persons Industry (MPI), but in reality we investigate more than just the missing persons. A group of six trained members forms a Unit, which goes out and collects data on this unknown world.
