A young woman down on her luck makes a wish that changes her life and challenges everything she thought she knew.
You might have noticed the original version of this story is completely gone. Truth be told, I wasn't satisfied with how I did this back in 2018/2019. While it was a good fanfic, it was still nowhere near as good as it should have been. I decided from the ground that I will rewrite this story completely, giving it a brand new face with the protagonist it deserves.
That being said, I hope you enjoy this brand new take on this story, and see just how much farther I've come.

The original writer worked on it between 2006 and roughly 2009. Beware, this is an extremely lewd fanfiction. Lots of cursing, lots of butt sex, lots of bodily fluids, etc. This is in the running for worst fanfic ever in my book. This version is actually from fanfiction.net, where someone took all the Reddit posts and smushed them together. Not much more can be said except good luck, friends. !!!Good news!!! I did it. I finally did it. I have edited the entire thing. Why? Who could say, but I did it, and now it's done. 99% of changes are spelling, capitalization, and punctuation and very little has been done otherwise to keep this as close to the original as possible while still being readable. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT SUE ME (or hate me :( ) Wishes are one of the most powerful things about humans. They hold people's deepest desires, deepest thoughts, and most beautiful dreams. But they are also magically powerful, and the King of Rosas knows this. The great sorcerer King Magnifico founded Rosas with the sole purpose of harvesting this power. His people, when they turn 18, give him their wishes in exchange they get to live in a safe, beautiful, and prosperous kingdom completely for free. And once a year, a lucky citizen may have their wish granted, returning back to whole. However giving up a wish is a difficult thing. It's like taking away a part of your soul, leaving behind an empty gap no material object will fill. Asha, a 17 year old girl who has yet to give up her wish, watched as this emptiness consumed her grandfather. He is about to turn 100 years old, which means he has lived almost 82 years with that emptiness that seemed to just grow and grow over the years, but he is a strong man, never giving up on the dream that one year his wish will be granted. Asha, determined to make his wish come true, tries to become the King's apprentice, one of the sure-fire ways a wish could be granted, is to become the one who can grant it. But instead of learning how to grant wishes, Asha learns the dark reason why King Magnifico keeps them.
