Azure had been living in the forest alone for a long time. Ever since her rare ability manifested, people had made sure to stay away from her. They feared her powers. They feared her. She was often depicted as a grim-reaper.

Azure felt their spirits even before they entered the forest to release her wings. She could not read their minds but she always could feel the emotions that come with them.
She locked eyes with the leader, eyes glowing to an azure colour instead of its normal amethyst ones. She held her arms forward, extending them in the direction of the attackers.
The six assailants stopped dead in their tracks, pain masking their faces before they fell on their knees, all of them clutching their chest. Azure's family looked on, horrified.
Screams filled the air, this time, it's not Azure doing it, but she's causing it.
The bodies dropped on the forest floor at the same time that Azure dropped her hands on her side.
Azure gazed at her family who was cowering with fear, her father had taken out his sword from its sheath as he protected the rest of his family behind him.
"Get away from us!" her father boomed at her, backing away further.
"It's still me, Azure, your daughter!"
"You're no daughter of us. You are a monster!" her mother exclaimed, finger pointed at her.
"A monster, you took their souls!" her younger brother echoed.
"Soultaker!"

UNDENIABLY DESTINED
Her vision blurry, eyes teary, ears ringing, as her head starts buzzing from the hard impact. She watches, as the red shining droplet falls and taints everything in its own darkness. She hears muffled voices, just as she feels a tingling sensation when she realises a hand on her shoulder and it's owner. A sob leaves her lips, when she realises what she has to do. His voice sounds in her ears, as she memorizes that baritone for the last time directed to her, "Are you okay?", with care. She pulls her hand, gathering her energy as silent pained tears falls down her face concentrating her powers. Suddenly, he jerks and falls stiff on his back, unable to move his body. His eyes widened as he registers what she is going to do, all while whispering, "No, no, please don't...". Grabbing a tree, she stands up painfully slow with tears running down her face uncontrollably. She takes a step towards him and sits on his torso, as she wails for everything happened to him and for everything she could have had, but now can't. To the Gods, for cursing her with her damned destiny. He slowly cups her face, and joins their heads released from the powers unknown to her, as he comforts her, "Don't worry, we will be over this, together." Her sobs turns quiet, just when suddenly again his body jerk back in same position, as she apologize, "Sorry, but I can't be selfish enough, not for you, for me and for us." "Go back a few feet." My friend whispered. I carefully distanced myself from the group and waited. "Where is she?" I quickly snapped the stick as soon as he finished asking the question. They stopped and two soldiers raised their lanterns to shine its light in the darkness. I quickly hid behind a tree before both of them turned where I was. A low frustrated growl came from one of the men, "The girl's playing with us. She's out here following our every move." How paranoia can cloud the mind.
