"Oh, him? well... I know him... for about 5 years to a decade, as I recall... I suppose you hear the rumor by now already?" Inside there were three people, one was a man wearing in Starfleet Uniform indicating that he is an officer while the other two are reporters and cameramen. As he faced the camera where the man is holding, a reporter behind it was holding a notepad and a pen, waiting for the officer to continue.

"I remember one time... I ask a friend in the ISAF, while we're at a bar somewhere in London and ask her is this... what is he -- the one I serve under and fly with. She said a quote to me before answering."
"And what those quotes, Commander Will? or can you remember?"

"She said; "Did you know, there are three kinds of aces?" I say; "What are those?" She says; "Those who seek strength, those who live for pride, and those who can read the tide of battle." I reply; "Those are the three. And him?" I ask her and she gives me a chuckle before replying and I have to agree with her. "

He trailed off and smiled. The reporter quickly writes down as the Starfleet officer reclines on the chair and said.

"Let's just say He- on the pilot term or ace as those birds called... He was... a true ace. The one that no one has faced before..."

My first fanction in my Wattpad profile about Azur Lane... ...and it all starts in June 1942, when the Azur Lane's massive fleet is setting out in a decisive naval battle against the combined Sakura Empire and the Siren fleet; hellbent on trying to take the atoll of Midway, until they are caught in the Mirror Sea cast by Akagi. But during battle, an unknown mysterious figure suddenly caused things to go badly awry, and their dimension becomes extremely unstable... Sometime later.. one of these shipgirls, named USS Enterprise (Yorktown-class CV-6)... ends up in a very different place... The world that she sees is very different to her own, a different universe that takes place in the time when World War II have long been ended, and both factions; Eagle Union and Sakura Empire (or in this real-world version; United States and Japan) are now close allies... Question is... How well can she able to handle the modern, now-changed world, and can she find her way back home or would she be stuck here forever? ---- (A/N note: This story incorporates fictional and non-fictional aspects and elements and this first fanfic of mine is inspired by @Musashi311's story called Azrael. Be sure to read his story, its my favorite...) Warning: Mature story. Some strong verbal languages, like bad words or ethnic slurs, or any graphic content may appear. -Book one- When the war between Azur Lane and the Red Axis broke out, a person led their fleet into the fray. The fleet, lesser known by many, has achieved great feats through its time out at sea and continues to impress as the battles go by. The person, unlike his subordinates, is only human. Yet knowing how weak his body is in comparison, he continues to push both his limits and luck to the brink as he leads his ships with efficiency like no other. Assigned to command the Maple Monarchy's fleet in Azur Lane, William Thompson would prove his worth through tactics and victory. His calm and devoted mentality would lead his fleet through hurdles without faltering. The strong and compassionate image he would display quickly gained the respect of all who followed him. Yet one aspect he did not expect was to take on that of a parental role. Though not consistent, now and again he would find a ship in need, one who was simply confused, or others who had lost their way. These ships, though as tough as you may think, still had weaknesses. With trouble understanding their place in life, and the emotions they faced, William would help guide them through. The ships were taught how to manage their lives, and to understand their limits. He proved to them they were not simply machines, but closer to humans than they ever thought. With their trust and grit, he would lead them all through the hardships they'd face. A lone woman is sitting in a table near the window, where she could see vehicles passing by her house. She held her AK-47 as if it were a guitar, while a journalist was on the other side of the table. She wondered why a journalist would come to her house unexpectedly while she's doing a maintenance check on her gun, but she didn't mind it, because the reporter was gathering information about a certain individual - a man she knew all too well. She placed the gun on her side, and spoke. "Oh, him? Yeah, I know him. It's going to take a while..." The reporter immediately opens her notepad. She asked the woman if it's okay for her to be recorded, to which she agreed. The reporter then placed a recorder on the table, turned it on, and nodded at the woman, allowing her to continue. "Did you know, there are three kinds of aces? Those who seek strength, those who live for pride, and those who can read the tide of battle. Those are the three. And him? He was a true ace." The woman looked at the sky through her window. There, she saw a trail from an aircraft. Whether it was from fighter plane or a civilian aircraft was uncertain. She smiled, and continued. "It was a cold and snowy day..." (Azur Lane is rightfully owned by Yostar, and Ace Combat is rightfully owned by Bandai Namco.
