Jacob, a ten year old boy discovering his sexuality came out to his parents one day. His father was not accepting of this, especially not for such a young child, and after arguing with Jacob's mother about it all night, he left Jacob and his mother. Leaving the two to fend for themselves.
As a result, Jacob's grades started to fall, he got held back a grade, and it became clear he needed a tutor or someone to help him.
Sam, the eight year old son to a wealthy family, has a love for knowledge. He is always reading textbooks and learning new things. His entire life, he has always wanted to know as much about the world as possible. Many kids at school see him as the spoiled rich kid who happens to also be a know-it-all, they don't like hanging around him. He has noone to share his interests with.
So, he decided to sign up to be a tutor. Then someone will HAVE to listen to him geek out about some science or math thing.
How will the friendship between these two grow? And what will happen when a tragedy falls upon them?
