Addy Wells is an aspiring writer. At least she was. She maintains her innocence, but with one follow swoop, it is said she cannot tell reality from fantasy.
She is sent to a mental institution. One with a not so shiny reputation, as people are abused, drugged, beaten, or even killed by staff behind the scenes. That's when she meets Dee.
Dee is a maintenance man, one that only ever goes by the nickname Dee, and has a heart of steel. Addy does her best to get closer to him, get sympathy from him so she can break free and prove her innocence. Prove she can tell fact from fiction. But doctors tell her there is no Dee. That he isn't real...

He said shoving the gun deeper, by now the base of his pistol was pressed down against my lips as I choked loudly. I screamed and jumped in fright as he pulled the trigger.
