I trudge up the stairs as silently as I could but with my luck I shouldn't be surprised. The stair broke. I tried to quiet my scream but it was no use. I was trapped. One leg stuck in the broken stair and two people walking up the stairs. I stopped moving when they got closer. I bowed my head in submission not wanting to anger them farther. My wolf try to take over. She hates to submit. I shout at her that we need to be strong to leave and she stops struggling. If I try to fight them they beat me worse. One of them pull me from the step not worried at all about my leg. Which now has three, long, wide gashes from the top of my thigh to my knee. The one that I now know is David pushes me down the stairs once I'm on my feet. I don't even try to stand. I just lie there. Not wanting to get beaten to bad tonight. My birthday is in two days and I must be strong. If I want to escape. Which I do. My name is Amelia. I call myself Amy. This is my life. Read to see what will happen to me.

"I set a alarm for a twelve o'clock so I could be the first one tell you happy birthday... happy birthday." I'm seventeen now. I turned the complete opposite direction from James, avoiding any eye contact or touch. "You knew." His voice suddenly sounded like a country love song to my ears. Everything's different. The smell of Cinnamon and Chocolate chip cookies fill my nose. My wolf already knows, and she's scratching at my insides to get to him, but I want cement to cover my feet and hold me here, forever. "Yes, I did, Victor told me." I shut my eyes really tight as his aroma got stronger, telling me he's walking toward me. I want to keep walking, but I know that in one step my feet will betray me. "I don't want, this, James... I don't want it." ================ *This book does has one scene of sexual content*
