Silence. Ophelia has stopped moving altogether, arm half frozen in position from where she had been trying to replace Hitchhikers Guide on the bookshelf. "...I'm sorry?"

"And single!" He adds, as if that clears everything up. Almost tragically, it does.

She turns around stiffly, trying not to let her absolute panic show on her already ashen face.

"Are you," she begins, calmly, "Trying to set me up with Juno Langmann?"

"Oh? You know my aunt?"

Yes. She did.

After eighteen years of living alone in the city and running from her problems, Ophelia moves back into her hometown after receiving an invitation to run the high school library her family had once helped to open and fund.

It seems like a good idea too-- until she meets somebody who seems determined to make her life hell...
