But the price for staying in the heavens and having this flight, was for the angels to pledge their alliance to the God of the heavens
If one chose not to (which was common daily), the angel would be outcasted from the heavens and fall back onto the Earth with all the humans as punishment
Earth was a form of Limbo to the angels and many would be sold or treated like lesser by the humans as there was an abundance of them
But some humans would treat them with upmost respect for the creatures they were
And Nick would soon go thought many trials and learn what life on Earth was really like

Clay had been closeted all his life and planned for it to remain that way. But, with having homophobic parents it was seemingly impossible to ever find the happiness he longed for. After being outed to the only people he now disliked the most, his parents react worse than expected and Clay falls into a pit of loneliness when he gets sent to conversion therapy to "turn him straight again". George had homophobic parents too and goes through the same. When times are at its worst somehow these two meet each other and now they are isolated from reality in the therapy school. Based in a world in which everyone is an angel and must earn an ability not inherited through family. It seems random but it's not in the slightest. Each matches ones personality. But now, I must give up my life as an angel for a while – I was given a mission, to save someone from the edge of being banned from heaven.
