Cody Park AKA, Agent 4, was recruited into the Squidbeak Splatoon by Agent 2, AKA, Marie Cuttlefish. As Cody collected all the Zap Fish, he made it to DJ Octavio himself. As Callie snapped out it, DJ Octavio shouted in anger and knocked Agent 4 into the depths of the Octarian base.
Agent 4 woke up to an Octarian over him; "Hey! Hello? Mh, groan if your alive!"

Two years ago Callie and Marie did their last splatfest. Although Marie was the winner, the two cousins did not hold a grudge. Despite that, they began to drift apart as they both began developing solo careers. One day Marie was able to get a three day vacation and left for Calamari County. Callie on the other hand could not come because of an important meeting. The two planned to meet on the second day of Marie's vacation. However, danger was lurking in Octo Canyon. When Callie is late to the Halloween party, Marie agrees to tell the others a story to kill the time. The story takes place long ago and is about a scientist that has no other dream but to create life. After many failures, he is forced to seek help from hooded figures that appear one night. He succeeds, but gets trapped in deal he can't escape from. A few months later, a shadow starts terrorizing the land of Inkopolis. It strikes at night, it's blade cutting down everyone that gets in it's way. One night, four travelers gather to stop the shadow, and go out to fight it.
