Alijah is a normal 27 years old woman, struggling to make ends meet. All she ever wanted was to survive in the harsh world, which became impossible when she came in contact with something she never thought existed other than in bedtime stories..... VAMPIRE. Scott hates humans. He thinks nothing of them, other than the fact that they are food bags and weak creatures. Life became cruel to him when he was mated to one of the existence he hates, and to the one woman he might never be able to claim because of her bloodline. Is Alijah just a human as she thinks? Or is she a part of the world she never knew existed? Will Scott ever be able to stop seeing her as a food bag? Will Scott be able to claim Alijah as his woman?

Her eyes widened, and she dropped her glass. The glass clanked against her dinner plate and crumbled. She immediately looked down at it and frantically started picking up the pieces. "Leave it for a servant," I sniped at her. Reginald, our head waiter, promptly appeared at her side and started picking up shards. Our servants were specially trained on how to clean up messes without having bloody accidents. She looked up at me with a renewed sense of hostility. "I will do it myself!" Reginald didn't move. He is trained to insist. "Please, Miss?" he asked quietly. He took hold of the piece of glass in her hand and pulled. She squeaked in pain and held her hand up in front of her face. It was in plain view so that everyone could see. Her finger had been sliced open. The sweet smell got so strong that it was almost irresistible. Prompt number: 11. Vampires are bound by an ancient destiny: their soulmate is always human, and this bond is governed by three rules. The smell of their soulmate's blood is irresistible, its taste is sweeter than anything else, and if the love is unrequited, it can be fatal. Fearing this inevitable bond, most vampires try to avoid it. But what happens when one of them discovers that their soulmate is a human who not only rejects them but loathes them?
