Shade Blakely. She's a first year student at Alfea. She's also a Fairy. But she's different from the other Fairies because she wanted to become a Specialist, and wanted nothing to do with her Fairy nature, instead she wanted to get rid of her Magic.

She was placed in the winx suite with four first year Fairies and one second year Fairy who happens to be a princess.

Being a fairy that has never existed before is hard. Along with new dangers rising on the horizon, she has to help her new fellow Fairy friends overcome them.

But along the way, secrets are uncovered, romance sparks, and she'll have to deal with a killer on the loose who wants her out of the picture.

She'll have to help her friends, train to become the best specialist in the Otherwolrd, learn control over her Fairy Magic and the terrifying, never before seen Power inside her, avoid a warrior who has taken an undeniable interest in her, and try not to kill an old Air Fairy friend turned enemy, who's trying to manipulate a certain red-head changeling.
