The night of the accident changes everything for Nina, a 16-year-old girl from Minneapolis. All she remembers is hitting the freshly paved street, the name tag Ansley, and her mom running after the wailing ambulance. Waking up from a coma in a hospital bed and being told that she has Schizophrenia, pushes Nina into a state of denial and unacceptance. The only thing keeping her sane while being confined to the hospital is her blooming friendship with Kathy, who also has Schizophrenia. Together, they brave through therapy sessions, and the watchful eyes of the head doctor. When our protagonist and her sidekick are temporarily placed back into High School, Nina comes face to face with Conor. And as most teenage girls would, when confronted by a gorgeous boy, she develops feelings for him. When our duo is thrown back into the hospital, things start to get suspicious. From flower fields and holidays, to late night kisses and time ticking down, Nina is uneasy with the hospital workers, and maybe even the people she thinks she knows everything about. The hallucinations begin to take over Nina and Kathy's life and very nearly drive the two of them to a state of insanity. The workers at the hospital are not who they seem to be, in reality. Knowing who to trust is out of the question. Who is our antagonist? Who lives? Who dies? Is this all a fever dream, or something truly... demented? Will they be able to overcome the building pressure of the unwarned attacks and betrayals, or will the tick-tocking of the clock and clinically deranged staff run them down to their last unwitting days?
