As the good- and stereotyped- Mexican girl you are, your family has that huge trouble with your uncle, your mom's brother. You never knew him because your mother was always too busy talking about how horrible of a brother he was, leaving his whole family behind and your uncle was way too busy working at his dream job. Who cares though? You had a great life until that sudden call on February 2020.
It was your uncle. For the first time in a very, very long time, he was inviting your family over for lunch. Why? Well, he said because he was feeling homesick but you didn't believe him. And your mom very doubtfully agreed to go.
Why look at that! It seems that your uncle is a very famous guy from Netflix and you didn't even know. David Castañeda works in a Netflix show and... he's your uncle. Who would've thought?
After David talks to your mom, they're able to solve their problems from the past and your mom isn't angry anymore but oh boy did she explode when she heard she couldn't return to dear old Mexico because of COVID-19.
