After being exposed to an unstable chemical in a lab accident, the bots awake the next day to find their frames underwent an unprecedented change while they slept.
 
Following their initial shock came the unfortunate news that there was no way to reverse the effect without further testing.

Deciding to focus on the second half of their mission, to learn about humans, they must adjust to their new forms while Doc searches for an antidote.

Just as the new Bot is beginning to get used to Griffin Rock, Dr. Morocco sets off a gas bomb in an encounter. All seems fine until the Rescue Bots are unable to transform out of their holoform into their bot form, and it's up to BlueBand to figure out a way to undo it. While crossing into dangerous boundaries to find new information, something goes wrong, something very wrong. Hasbro owns Transformers Rescue Bots and its characters, and I own only my drawings and Blueband!
