A thousand years ago, a great purge provoked by the coven regents of sorcerers to expunge all evil supernatural beings, most especially the vampire race that kept growing in population. During this era, the five most powerful covens in New York expelled all vampires; and then forged an invisible boundary capable of killing vampires instantly that step on their soil again. The race of sorcerers to this time became the most superior supernatural beings in the supernatural world therefore, controlling other supernatural beings, except for the remaining vampire race still in existence whom vowed to retaliate against them.
