The clashing of waves and the starlight sky was breathtaking. The trees swaying to the light breeze filled his ears as he continued to walk around the perimeter of the Black lake. Lily, sitting below a tall, bushy tree watched as he went. Something about him was so breathtaking to her.

Perhaps it was the way he saw life. Complicated is how he described it, it throws things your way that you aren't prepared for but it doesn't care. It just does everything it wants whenever it pleases and all you can do is face the problems and hope for the best.

Lily admired Lysander, from the way he thought to the way he smiled, and even to the way he stood by her side through thick and thin. 

She looked up from her school book and saw Lysander striding back towards her, and as he got more into her eyesight, she could see the outline of a single flower. 

Approaching Lily, Lysander kneeled to her height, placing the flower by her ear. 

"You look really pretty, Lily" Lysander muttered, trying his absolute best not to allow his pale cheeks to release the blush that so desperately wanted to seep through.

She smiled as if it were the last time she'd ever be able to.
