I will be posting a chapter of my first novel every week, a YA Science Fiction novel titled 'Sins Of The Father'. The novel is a coming of age hero journey with three black female protagonist. Primed: A Kayla Madison Story
Kayla Madison is a normal-ish sixteen-year old whose main desire is simple-make it through high school without embarrassing herself too much in the process. It doesn't help that she's being followed by dark figures no one else sees. When a man with incredible speed, unbelievable power, strange old-fashion clothes, and an obnoxious personality threatens her life, she discovers she is a rare "two-worlder" -a person with one parent from Earth and the other from Earth Prime. She escapes another attack by jumping through a portal to the alternate dimension, much to the chagrin of her protector. As if managing without electricity, cars, and phones on the more Edwardian world weren't enough stress; she finally meets her long-absent father, a scientist in the top-secret field of Trans-Dimensional Travel. Things get more complicated when she realizes her best friend's father, or rather the Earth Prime version of him, might have been the person that orchestrated the assaults. ___ Thanks for reading! It first sounds like a dream come true as Hendrick and his friends get transported into the world of 'Sinner's Game'. But things soon get more serious as their journey takes turns into a much darker direction. It doesn't take long until they realize there is more hidden underneath the surface as one might first assume, and a dark mystery starts revealing itself. --- What to expect: See, I know what you are probably thinking right now... 'The Cover caught my attention, but I'm not sure if I want to give it a go or not. I don't even know that Niffox guy, so why put in the time?' Well, I'm glad you asked, dear stranger. 'Sinner's Game' is a drastically different and dark spin to the in my opinion overused and mostly stale Isekai genre. (Which also means that if you are searching for a story with things like grinding or farming XP, this is most likely not the Novel for you.) It is a comprehensive, character driven and lore focused story with elements in the Horror/Mystery as well as Fantasy/Sci-Fi direction (Dark Mystery is the main focus). The pacing is fast, and the story has a set ending point. (No breaks in releases until the whole Novel is out. 2 Chapters a week all the way through.) The plot builds upon itself while slowly fitting in more and more pieces of the mystery. Double checking for details will definitely pay off as the story progresses. Oh yea... and you can also expect some nerdy jokes and references as well, but getting them is not necessary to understand the story.
