This novel narrates the story of doctor Aaron Heymann and his quest to find a way to contact himself as seen in another universe on the Grid (A map of time and parallel universes). He unravels a fairy-tale universe of which he and his young intern, Marc, are a part of along with other characters and faces he has seen on the street.
