Mariama a college student that was struggling financially. She was walking the streets of New York with only a ten dollar bill she was going to use it to eat but she saw a men holding his child sitting on the ground Mariama felt so sad at the sight she saw she wanted to help them but couldn't. 

The men approached Mariama and asked for her help to feed his child Mariama decide that she would help them and that going bed hungry again was nothing to her. She took the child and they entered a store and brought baby milk for the baby. She fed the baby but the baby was still hungry so Mariama gave the father the rest of the money to buy more milk for his kid. 

Mariama sat there wishing that her gut feeling wasn't true but it was the father left his kid with Mariama. 

Five years later the kids  father came back rich and he tries to take back his son but Mariama won't let that happen.
