The name "Sugawara" alone makes people cower in fear. The system is made to keep a traditionalist and conservative mindset, which her grandfather, the king, reinforces every day. Koushi Sugawara, the oldest of the two, is next in line to be king after his father, Kaoru, takes over. Y/N, on the other hand, wants nothing to do with royalty, for both herself, her cousin Koushi, and her new nephew, Ichiro. She doesn't want to be engaged to elite member, Daichi Sawamura, they're best friends.
She also couldn't do that to the person who loves him. She couldn't watch her only support system marry another man that he loved.
When her and Koushi visits the city festival and market, she gets manhandled by a group of thieves. It's not until an Alley Cat with unruly black hair and deep, gray eyes comes to her, rescuing from all of her worries and from the dictatorship inside the castle walls.
