When Clay is the witness of a murder at his tenth, his life seems to be over. Because of the daily death threats, blackmailing and fear he needs to live in, he decides to take drugs to calm down.
Within days, he gets severely addicted to alcohol and drugs and starts stealing for his drug dealer to get more so he doesn't do anything to himself to stop the intense fear within him.
George lives the absolute perfect life and doesn't know anything about problems. He thinks everyone is complaining until he finds his sibling who overdosed and then figures out Clay suffers too. He has no idea how to cope with it, but decides to do anything he can to be a better friend and brother.

I'll Never Forget
George and Clay had known each other since they were incredibly young. Their friendship was indescribable, it was like they were tied together and would always find each other again. And that was true except now they were only like that by two small bracelets, one blue and one green. Clay's timetable had gotten more and more busy and he had less time for George eventually resulting to a null. A friendship that was once inseparable was now long gone, just memories of better times as Clay's life became hell. The days became repetitive, school, train, sleep. Clay's life has never been easy after severe harm was caused by his drunk father. His mother can't decide anything at home and daily arguments go so far that his mother regularly escapes the house. Clay feels lost and starts blaming himself for all problems at home. Instead of asking someone for help, he decides to start starving himself to gain some control in his life. His attempt to lose weight goes so far that his weight drops dangerously low which leads to a forced hospital stay, causing a lot of traumatic experiences. No one seems to understand the very sick Clay and he starts slipping away more and more, not believing anyone who tells him he suffers from anorexia nervosa. Everything keeps escalating until a young boy with bulimia nervosa stays with him in his hospital room... His daily battle with multiple disabilities doesn't make his life easy and after also being bullied, even by his own brother, he shuts down around almost everyone and develops selective mutism. George who struggles with ADHD and a mood disorder suddenly receives notes in his locker each day from an unknown person. The notes cheer him up each time and at the same time he starts becoming closer to the quiet and shy Clay. When George also becomes friends with Clay's brother, he has to choose between either him, who hates Clay, or choose for the sweet Clay. But does he fall for the manipulative behaviour of Clay's brother or does he stay loyal to Clay? Clay struggles with home life, and his social life isn't the greatest either. George on the other hand is the popular kid in school, having no issues at home and no issues with his social life. The two used to know eachother, but something happened after Clay turned four and George never saw him again. What happens when the two cross paths for the first time in thirteen years? This is a very slow burn, fluff filled fanfiction, with some questionable parts, but I just wanted to make this as detailed as I could, so I'm sorry about that.
