The World Beyond the Stargate: Military in Another World

One normal afternoon, a large gateway leading to another world appeared in the middle of the bustling city of Shibuya. Otherworldly forces such as humans, dragons, ogres, and other mythical creatures emerge from the Gateway and attack the city. Using modern weapons and technology, the JSDF (Japanese Self Defense Force) easily repelled the attack and pushed the enemy back to the other side of the Gate.

With the world concerned about the sudden appearance of this gateway, Japan decides to send it's military (the JSDF) to the other side of the "Stargate" to put up a F.O.B (Forward Operating Base) and attempt peace negotiations with whatever nations lie on the other side.

Our main character, First Lieutenant Kamitani Sachiko, was in Shibuya when the "Stargate" suddenly appeared. Sachiko, along with his platoon, is part of the division that gets sent to the world beyond the Stargate for reconnaissance and an attempt for friendly interactions with the locals of the world. Back on earth however, global superpowers are taking interest in this "Stargate"....

This is the story of how the two worlds were connected by the Stargate!

A/N- I was actually inspired by an anime/manga/ light novel which pretty much has the same plot. But, this is my take on that kind of story.
