The story goes through the mind of King Burgover. King Burgover had a reputation to destroy. In the 1660's, King Burgover kills fifty percent of Great Britain, leaving the rest of the country to follow in its wake. When King Burgover dies from murder, a group of college students come from America to Great Britain to study about why King Burgover did the things he did.
Not long after King Burgover died, his wife, daughter, and daughter's husband die of mysterious causes. The five students are believed to be the smartest and the bravest in the whole college, but even this incident stumps the intelligent and brave.
Who killed King Burgover? Why was King Burgover the way he was? Why did King Burgover's family almost immediately die after he did?

{Wattys 2018 Winner - The Contemporaries} Versailles, France 1789: Where the only things more prevalent than opulence and wealth, are secrets. At the dawn of the French Revolution, Paris is divided. In the glittering palace of Versailles, courtiers party without a care in the world, but in the city, people must fight to stay alive. Eighteen-year-old courtier Gabriel de la Marche is part of both worlds. When Gabriel was fourteen, his older sister went missing, and desperation for answers led him to strike a deal with an underground organization of assassins-they would use their connections to help Gabriel find his sister, if Gabriel agreed to kill members of nobility under the alias L'Ange de la Mort. Four years later, he still hasn't found his sister, and the repercussions of his decision are catching up with him. But he fears it might be too late to turn back now. The daughter of a French mother and a wealthy English earl, Lizabeth survived in the womb when her twin brother did not. Believed by her family to be cursed, she has grown up shamed and unloved, locked away in her father's estate. That is, until Lizabeth's mother strikes a deal of her own. If Lizabeth travels to Versailles and kills L'Ange de la Mort, she'll be granted her freedom. At the palace, Gabriel and Lizabeth fall headfirst into love, neither of them knowing the other's secret. Amid lavish court life, Lizabeth desperately searches for the identity of L'Ange de la Mort while Gabriel searches for the person rumored to want him dead. And when the truth is finally revealed, they discover they've become entrapped in a plot bigger than either of them could have imagined. Promises to Keep[WATTYS15]

29 parts Complete

We all make promises. We all say that we'll keep those promises going for eternity. But, they never actually last that long. Being royal doesn't mean they're immune to the outside world. They have feelings just like anyone else. They have deaths and they have issues they need to deal with. Princess Abigail isn't any different. She lost her mum young, she feels pressured by the public to be the epitome of perfect. Her boyfriend, Klein, is trying to help her but she feels like he's adding to her pressure. And often she feels like there's no way out. When she was younger, she had an accident that's led her to live the way she does. She hates things the way they are. She just wants everything to freeze so she can bask in its glory before it's disappeared for good. Her mother, Queen Louisa, died before Abigail reached her teenage years, therefore, her mother made Abigail promise a lot of things. Some of them are quite absurd but Abigail promised them nonetheless. All she wanted was to make her mother proud. Her father, brother, grandmother, cousin, soon-to-be in-laws and her boyfriend are trying hard to get her to see sense. They just don't know if they're trying too hard or not at all. Sometimes promises are just too hard to keep. [P.s. this is not edited. I'm too busy to edit it at the moment.]
