Halle Iverson can't remember the first 6 years of her life. But she's more worried about finishing the month detention free and making the first A on her report card. Just when she might succeed, a stranger interrupts her life in Scottsdale with a confession.
Her memories weren't lost. They were stolen.
And so the journey to find them begins. In a world of gold horned elephants, wolfkeepers, and floating Chinese palaces, as Halle searches for the truth. How can she be the warrior prodigy that others claim when she's too short and too dumb to help anyone? Are her parents really kidnappers?
Whatever the truth is, she better find it quickly. Bounty hunters known as Collectors scavenge the universe, looking for towns to invade and people to harvest. And if Halle can't reclaim her past and forgive those who betrayed her, Scottsdale will be but a memory.
