Valentina De Luca lived with her mother and stepdad. Her life was hard living with an abusive stepfather and a mother that was a druggie.

All she ever wanted was to be happy and feel the warmth and love of her family.

One day she was called to the principal's office to be told that her mother had overdosed and her stepdad was killed in a car accident.
