Willow Woods, a normal teenager, falls into depression after the tragic loss of her brother and mother in a horrific house fire. Willow spends day in and day out, going to school, then to work. Only to come home to a drunk dad too lazy to do anything. Her dad, Frank, has an uncontrollable temper and he takes his anger out on Willow.
 
One night Willow finally falls asleep to the pain of the everything, only to have a dream about a mysterious boy. She knows what he looks like and gets to know him in her dreams every night. She wonders about the boy that appears in every one of her dreams. He saves her and takes away the pain of her life every night. Willow tries to sleep just to see the boy at any opportunity  she can. She doesn't even know if he exists until the new boy at Hill-Crest High walks into the school cafeteria. 

River McCoy is her walking dream come true.  Will he saver her from the pain that is her life?
