There was a time, thousands of years ago, where men's worst fault was caring  for each other.
    
    So God created a test in the form of a room. A plain room, a nearly empty room. The one thing men can't stand is being alone, and alone in small a small would drive a human being mad.
    
    For centuries, Oscar McBride had been stuck in this room; all so no once else would have to suffer the consequences of being alone. 
    
    But one day God offers Oscar a job, and if he completes it, no one will ever be put in the room again.
    
    Oscar must become a Comforter.
