Avalonia; a continent ruled by those who despise magical beings have eradicated all magic from the land to supposedly ensure peace. A young girl named Eleanor Harwood of Rowntree; the daughter of Lord Harwood, loathes the idea that she will soon become a married Lady and is forced into countless etiquette lessons and is drained by socially pressured politeness and elegance. Elly longs to be free to do as she pleases, to not conform to her high class expectations. When Elly's family is invited to the King's birthday celebrations, unexpected terror erupts and her father is murdered and insurmountable loss prevails- changing Elly's life forever. She is then accused of murdering her father by the Queen and becomes a wanted fugitive, running across Avalonia with her two new found friends; Gage and Frey. They then find themselves on a journey, trying to figure out the objectives behind past events as Elly discovers she has a secret huger than the entirety of her being. As her secret unravels and their twisted reality comes into place, Elly's destiny becomes clear. The fate of Avalonia is in her trembling hands. Can Elly save her land from darkness, or is she just hiding behind the illusion of tenacity?

Along the way, they recruit five other individuals each experienced in a different area of magic. Who will love and who will hate?
