Victoria Wright is not your average nobility. During the autumn of her thirteenth year, she was stolen from her home in the castle of Dalton and locked away in the tower of Duke Alexander's estate. no clues were found and no hope for the princess' life ever return to the land and all remained somber. In the next few years tensions ran high as debates over whom would become heir to the empire drug on. Alexander was chosen, being one of the best friends of the king and life continued on, until the eve of Victoria's eighteenth birthday. The Duke enacted his plan and slaughtered the royal family, the only remnant being the king's own daughter. The girl remained clueless in her tower as Alex searched for false murderers as the new King of the people. Beheading some of his enemies as the murders and accomplices, Alex had thought of everything...except for one loose end. Victoria. What was he to do with her? He devised a plan, to marry her to his right hand man Daniel McKian. Not only would it rid him of the orphaned royalty but appease his second in command. It seemed all was well, but when has all been what it seems. Time would prove his flaws, and an old proverb would prove his folly. A woman wise is a worry, but a perseverant one carries trouble. And that is just what Victoria must do.
