It's the far flung future of humanity. Soon the very stars themselves will die out for good, and a great enemy has emerged from places once thought impossible. Humanity now stands divided between 3 major powers constantly waring with one another. In the midst of all of this a Project is started, one to let humanity survive beyond the collapse of our reality and into the birth of a new one.
