"Um, no one signed your cast," he said, pointing out the obvious. "No. I-I know," Evan said, chuckling sheepishly. Connor looked into the boy's eyes. "I'll sign it," he said. Evan's eyes filled with surprise. "Oh, you don't... you really don't have to," He started, only to be cut off by Connor. "Do you have a Sharpie?"
After Connor Murphy yelled at Evan Hansen in the hallway for something that was a misconception, he decided he would want to try to get closer to the boy, maybe even be friends with him. As they meet later in the day in the computer lab, Connor decides to sign Evan's cast, but little did he know that something was going to happen. Was it a friendship starting to bloom, or was it something that would change both of their lives?
