This is a story about a maid at a noble duchy who is arrogant and looks down on weak nobles and gets her punishment by getting executed for abuse, stealing, and attempted murder.

Zillael. A large country in the mountains, that was boasted of holy, righteous glory and best known for its pure clean lands, fresh crisp air, breathtaking scenery and the two princesses that belonged there. The first princess, named Fawn, was fun loving, energetic and quiet rebellious. She had an innocent face that no man or woman could resist. Fawn was quite social and had the beauty of the sun itself. The other sister, named Catalina, was a strong contrast to her sister. Catalina was rather quiet, regal and always abided by the law. She often spent her time with the Emporer and Empress or in the royal garden by herself. She too was also beautiful and as radiant as the moon with endless intellect. The young Oriental princesses received news of that the Emperor has recently passed away and that another must take the throne. Catalina being the older sister, was next in line to take the throne and rule as empress of Zillael. However, Catalina's throne and title are stolen from her by her scorned younger twin sister, Fawn. Fawn tarnished her older sister's reputation with lies and rumors. She then has her sold as a slave and left for dead, while she claims her sister's death and takes the crown. Though Catalina was always the calm and collected young girl, no one would be able to recognize her after the torture she has been through. =========================== Stolen From Me is a fantasy story involving adventure, violence, betrayal, revenge, abuse, hatred, bullying and mature content. The central themes of this story are family, friendship, bravery and most importantly, forgiveness. The setting of the story is the fictional Chinese kingdom of Zillael in the Tang Dynasty. Meli is a beggar in 19th century London. Not just a beggar- a pickpocket. A thief. And a good one. ************* I didn't ask to be a beggar. It was just what becomes of orphans. I suppose I could have gone to work at a factory- but I was sure it wouldn't have paid as well as the pocketwatches and coins that the uppercrusts of England supplied me with. Besides, I had never been caught before. I didn't even worry myself over the possibility. Even if the theft had been noticed- as if!- I was the only girl among the group of young thieves. The last to be suspected. Me being caught was an impossibility! Until I made a mistake. Until my hand was seized as I reached into the pocket of a nobleman. I expected to be sent off to a prison or a workhouse. Perhaps to be whipped, or even hanged. Not to be sent to a reformatory school. Not for that same nobleman that I had stolen from to adopt me from that reformatory school. Not a life sentence to the strictness and rigidity and discipline of nobility. Not a governess who tells me when to sleep, eat, bathe, study, and speak. This was not the life of poverty and thievery that I had planned out for myself.
