(This story takes place pre-calamity, the readers name is Aedre.)

Steel clashed against steel amidst the shadows. Two figures ruthlessly attacked one another as they danced across the sand seemingly gliding across the shifting ground. Sand splayed and flew around them as the crowd erupted in cheers.

The figures halted suddenly, breathing deeply as they held their blades up, pointing at one another.
"Let's put this petty rivalry behind us. Admit I win and am better than you." The man to the right said and the other laughed darkly, deeply as they shook their head.
"There is no way in hell I would admit to something other than the truth."
The cheers grew silent as the two held one another's gaze.
"Hurry it up already!" A man in the crowd shouted and the two glanced at them, silencing their shouts immediately.
"Very well, allow us to give them a show then."

(Hope you all enjoy!)

Yours. There are monsters all over Hyrule now, Your Highness." Blue eyes pointedly looked her up and down. "And by the looks of it, you're not equipped to handle that." She mirrored his scrutiny and scoffed. "What, and you are?" She gestured to the cairns beyond the trees. "Are you going to protect me as well as you protected them?" Calamity is upon Hyrule. The Goddess Hylia appointed but two children to prevent the end of the world. The powers they were promised don't come easily, and after years of outright failure, Princess Zelda can't help but wonder if Hylia chose wrong. It certainly doesn't help that the boy fate has tangled her with makes her seethe. Devotion, heartbreak, inadequacy. Faith, perseverance, and courage. This is a story of finding what lies within.
