In a land of myth and a time of magic...
A teenager learns remedies and potions. They's training to become the court physician. They was born with magic and visions. Their name: Y/n. But to the Druids they is known as Cato.
A young boy is sent to Camelot, to learn more about his magic. He accidentally becomes the crowned prince's manservant. His name: Merlin. But to the Druids he is known as Emrys.
A/N: don't correct me on they/them pronouns followed by is. It sounds wrong, but it's grammatically correct. There is no love interest for Y/n (not till book 2 anyways (Gwaine)), though I did involve Merthur and Morgwen. I will try to update every other Saturday, but I make no promises there. Feel free to correct me at any point if I actually did something wrong. I have the POV in ()'s in the ch titles so you can avoid ones you don't like ig?

I'm Not King Anymore (Merthur Short Story)
I got the inspiration for this story from a similar oneshot on Fanfiction.net by Aeon The Dimensional Girl if the user wishes for me to take this one down I will, however I will point out that I expanded on the concept and definitely made it my own. Originally gonna be a one shot, but ended up being too long for a one shot. Merlin returns to Camelot after Arthur dies and gets banished by Gwen. He goes to sit by the lake of Avalon to wait for Arthur. Eventually Arthur returns. Merlin is not immortal in this version, however he is still extremely powerful. This is about their life together. Merthur AU (Set around early season 4) Arthur Pendragon is the new king of Camelot having assumed the throne after his father's death at the hands of his sister, Morgana.
