Hazel McAdams has a talent.

She's surprisingly good at telling who's story she's in. All she has to do is look at someone and she can immediately tell what type of character they are in relation to the protagonist.

Hazel McAdams is also a witch.

She can immediately tell who's story she's just entered when she reaches her school in Scotland, and realizes that, rather unfortunately, she has been cast as a stock.

That becomes a problem when she finds herself falling for the main character.

But Hazel knows the rules, and she is not to have ANY interaction with him, WHATSOEVER. She can deal with her heartbreak in cold silence.

Needless to say, he breaks that rule.
