The world didn't end with a bang, it ended one scream, one growl, one cry at a time. Run or hide? That was the constant question for those left after the fall. It certainly was for the Wolfe sisters. 
Attina and her little sister, Adella had relied on each other their entire lives and now needed each other more than ever. But death and darkness always find their way back in, leaving one Wolfe without her other half. However, she will not brave this world alone. Courtesy of her fallen sister, she is driven into the arms of her crossbow wielding savior and his smirking older brother. However even with their help the weight of the new world is crushing, even for someone who is familiar with death. 
It was her sisters dying wish for her to stay alive. Will she uphold her promise? Or will she join her family among the dead? Perhaps a new light will guide her along the way and give purpose to every breath once more.

A/N: This is the updated version of FYD <3 Y/n L/n was your average college student before the world went to shit. Nora's life has been anything but sunshine and rainbows, but the apocalypse just made it so much harder. What happens when her family joins a group containing an emotionally closed off redneck? This story is a rework of another story I have written. There were many things about that story that I wanted to change, but some of the changes would completely change the story, so here we are. So warning if you read the original Fighting For Our Future, my goal is to make this story similar, but also different. If I kept a character alive it doesn't mean I will in this story. If I had killed them, it doesn't mean they are dead in this story. This is a clean slate. There are Triggers in this story such as Sexual Assault, Self harm, mentions of suicide, abuse, blood and gore, and more. There will be a lot of songs mentioned and most of them will be from present day, meaning this story takes place in present day instead of 2010 or whenever the walking dead is set to start in. Apart from some of the arguments that'll break out but you can only expect that when strangers take shelter together. Y/n was a survivor of the city, brought in by Glenn. You were thankful for the kindness from the stranger but the same behavior wasnt shared from the rest of the group. Supplies are tight and tension gets high everytime a newcomer is brought in. The Dixon brothers dont miss a beat to make sure and cause a scene, going on and on about supplies and how thin we are stretched. The speeches have droned on but no one listens to them, especially when they come from a couple hillbillies. Days went by the same, hardly any words spoken your direction unless it was snarky comment or small talk from Glenn. Changes started taking place when a fellow named Rick Grimes showed up.
