Sex outside of marriage was punishable by court assigned marriage, the woman became property up the father. There was no angel father to claim her, so her and her baby were at the courts mercy. Stephel was nearing the two month mark pregnancy, She had just under a week to get to earth before her baby could no longer survive the trip. Grappled with the choice, Maddie decided to go to earth to pursue her dream and protect her best friend. Only God knows the consequences that would follow.
