"The first thing that hits me is the stench. A mixture of dead fish and rotting carcass, making the air stingy and hard to breathe. I'm so distracted by the smell, it takes a while before I notice that I'm in a completely unfamiliar place, surrounded by total darkness. I have lost sight."

Five friends venture into a long abandoned theme park, doing some urban exploring in a place they haven't been since they were children. All seems quiet at first, but as they delve further into the dilapidated theme park it becomes clear that something else lurks in the shadows. This is just a short story I've been working on in my spare time. This is still only the first draft, I haven't gone back and edited anything in it yet, so feel free to let me know if you think there's anything that I could change or improve.
