Clover moves to the town of Bird's Peak, a small town near North Carolina to live with her Aunt Jade. But since day one of moving to the town Clover encounters strange events and things the town has. When at a party, chaos breaks out and she discovers a bag that was dropped. A bag that beholds a red journal with the number seven on it. Taking it home she discovers that somebody has discovered the strange things the town holds. It seems the further she reads the more she is curious and believes that the deaths in the town aren't a coincidence but setting aside curiosity she just wants to get through high school. But it seems that fate has different plans for her when she meets a strange group of friends who seems to have gotten her caught in the weirdness she only reads in the journals. Can Clover survive the first year of school in the new town before the weirdness of the town catches up to her?

"Alright, let's do it," I said. "Now? Here? Damn Angel, first the fiancé thing, and now this.
